Developed for photography and videography
This Lens was developed by Samyang for the high demands of video and photographers. The aperture can be infinitely adjusted from f/1.5 to f/22, the focus adjustment is soft and smooth. This enables smooth focus tracking, especially when shooting video. The aperture ring and focus ring have a gear ring and are therefore optimized for use with follow focus systems. This simplifies use when filming. For better legibility, the distance and aperture scales are located on the side.

Versatile portrait focal length for moving and still images
At 85 mm, the Samyang 85 mm f/1.5 Lens has the ideal focal length for portrait shots. The Lens is also particularly suitable for reportage shots. The excellent aperture of f/1.5 enables outstanding shots even in less favorable lighting conditions.

High-quality workmanship
The Lens has a very high-quality construction. The robust metal housing impresses with its elegant appearance. The glass lenses of the Lens are coated, resulting in an excellent contrast and sharpness range as well as a balanced color balance. The particularly high-quality optics of the lens ensure optimum image results. The lens hood prevents stray light and lens reflections from entering from the side.

Advantages of a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor
Save time in post-processing. A large number of lens errors such as distortion, edge blur or vignetting occur on the outer areas of the image. If you use a Lens calculated for full format on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas are not used. This results in maximum quality. Additional post-processing time to correct lens errors is therefore not required.
