Leofoto Summit LM-404C Carbon tripod
Like the entire Summit series, this tripod is suitable for working with heavy photo or video equipment. The LM-404C is the model with the longest leg extension of the entire series: the maximum working height of the tripod is 1,800 mm. It is supplied without a center column, which means that a very low working height of just 105 mm can be achieved. This proves to be advantageous in many shooting situations. If you still need a center column, it can be purchased as an option. Thanks to its very sturdy leg segments, the Summit LM-404C has a respectable load capacity of 40 kg. And it weighs no more than 2,500 g! The pack size of 630 mm is not too big for a tripod with such a long leg extension. Supplied with interchangeable tripod plate, 100 mm video half-shell, carrying bag, stainless steel spikes and multi-tool.

Leofoto Summit series - super-strong, yet lightweight carbon tripods
Similar in strength to the powerful tripods in the Leofoto Mountain series, the carbon tripods in the Summit series are, however, a good deal lighter. This makes them particularly interesting wherever bulky camera equipment is used for landscape, nature and sports photography. It is Leofoto's philosophy that the tripod legs of the Summit series, which are made of high-density, ten-layer carbon, all achieve top values in terms of bending stiffness, strength and vibration damping. All metal parts also meet the highest standards of durability and longevity. Manufactured from high-strength aircraft aluminum, they achieve their absolute precision and ease of movement through the exclusively CNC-controlled production process - it could hardly be more precise. The individual elements of the carbon tripods in the Summit series are designed to provide secure support for heavy photo or video equipment in particular. To ensure that vibrations and oscillations are dampened to the maximum, an extendable center column has been deliberately omitted.

If you still need it, it is available as an optional accessory.
But that's not all: the tripod plate equipped with a circular bubble level is removable and can be replaced with a half-shell for video cameras, which is included in the scope of delivery. Optional accessories (e.g. a smartphone holder, a magic arm, etc.) can be attached to the 3/8 inch threads of the tripod plate. Depending on the model, the tripod legs consist of two, three, four or even five segments. It goes without saying that they always glide smoothly and are torsion-proof. And thanks to the practical, non-slip rubberized twist locks, they can be quickly loosened or fixed with ease. Non-slip rubber feet and a set of stainless steel spikes are also included as standard. Snow and sand feet can be purchased as optional extras. Conclusion: Enormously strong and hard-wearing, the tripods in the Summit series are excellent tools for demanding photographers who always want or even have to rely on the high quality of all their equipment.

Powerful, comfortable and versatile
Even large DSLRs, medium format cameras and video equipment are no problem for the Summit LM-404C. The four segments of the legs of this carbon tripod with their cross-sections of 40, 36, 32 and 28 mm are very strong. The ease of use also leaves nothing to be desired. A quick twist-lock system allows the leg segments to be extended and retracted in an instant - with stops at any point. Another convenience plus: the tripod plate with a diameter of 100 mm is not only removable, it also has two different standard screws. This means that both heads with 3/8 inch and ¼ inch threads can be attached. The choice of any tripod heads on the world market is therefore virtually unlimited. As befits a good tripod, the LM-404C naturally has non-slip rubber feet. For special tasks, however, stainless steel spikes are also included in the scope of delivery - easily interchangeable with the rubber feet. All in all, the positive features of the Leofoto Summit LM-404C carbon tripod make it the perfect tool for particularly demanding photographers working with heavy equipment.
